INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE on Mahatma Gandhi's Vision and Contemporary Political Leadership in North East India (5-6 October 2018) Organized by: International Center for Gandhi Studies at the University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM), India.
Place: USTM Campus, Khanapara, Ninth Mile, Meghalaya, 2 October 2018-19, marks the 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi's birth. His message of non-violence and peaceful coexistence is more relevant to the current situation than ever before. As a result, we at USTM have decided to provide an international, national and our own scholars with a common platform where we can review Gandhi's teachings in a modern context.
Under ICGS, a Gandhian centre for peace and conflict resolution, we propose to organise a two day International conference on 5th and 6th October 2018. Eminent Gandhain scholars and reputed academicians from across the globe will participate in the Conference.
We would earnestly like to invite you and your colleagues as well as research scholars to come and participate in the deliberations and present papers on themes (not limited to): Peace and Conflict, Rural Economy, Cooperative Federalism, Social Cohesion, Cattle Protection, Industrialization, Infrastructure Development, Political Ideology, Religion and Society, Gender Issues in Society, Law and Justice, Cultural Nationalism, Media and Social Change, Ethics and Morality, Decolonization, Hind Swaraj, from Swaraj to Suraj.
